Hello, dear bookmates! We are glad to invite you to our new reading session. We are going to read Matilda in English with Юлия Малиновская starting from the 30th of January!
📚What is this story about?
Matilda is a sweet, exceptional young girl, but her parents think she's just a nuisance. She expects school to be different but there she has to face Miss Trunchbull, a kid-hating terror of a headmistress. When Matilda is attacked by the Trunchbull she suddenly discovers she has a remarkable power with which to fight back. It'll take a superhuman genius to give Miss Trunchbull what she deserves and Matilda may be just the one to do it!
📚How do we read?
During two (B2+ and higher) or three (B1+) weeks we get weekly reading materials (vocabulary and plot comprehension exercises on Vznaniya and Quizlet), read the book chapter by chapter and discuss it in Telegram chat. Every week we have a Zoom meeting devoted to the book.
